Allenby at the gates of Jerusalem
A hundred years after the conquest of Jerusalem by the British, the General Allenby at the gates of Jerusalem opened exactly 100 years later, following a series of dramatic events in one week in the city's history, a week that will open a new and fascinating era in the history of Jerusalem, the Jewish community and the Land of Israel as a whole.
The exhibition presents rare and original films, photographs and objects, moving documents, posters, souvenirs and personal travel albums, which are the materials from which the fascinating history of the Eternal City is made. A hundred years later, in the Tower of David, the heart of Jerusalem, between the old and new city, a new and sober look is offered to the moments that have become legendary, the moments that will change Jerusalem forever.
